North Yorkshire is your go to activity destination. Find out how you can hit the heights of adventure and get your adrenaline fix.

Climb to new heights
The North Yorkshire landscape with its rocky gritstone outcrops, sheer cliffs and limestone rockfaces, is a great destination for outdoor climbing. The southern dales in particular has some superb routes to tackle whether you are looking for trad climbing, sports climbing or bouldering.
Limestone cliffs including Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Kilnsey offer some of the most challenging climbs in England plus stunning scenery on your ascent. The North York Moors has a mix of sandstone and limestone crags such as the Wainstones and Highcliffe Nab, and bouldering is popular at Brimham Rocks in Nidderdale.

Discover what is under your feet
Go from scaling the heights above ground to exploring a magical underground world. The Yorkshire Dales National Park has more than 2500 known caves – The Three Counties System is approx. 55 miles long and is the longest cave system in the UK.
For experienced cavers and potholers, there are many of these limestone systems to explore with magnificent chambers such as Gaping Gill.
