Itinerary Schedule

Swinton Bivouac
Get back to nature and stay in a meadow yurt at Swinton Bivouac. These yurts sleep up to four so it's a great option for a family holiday or a getaway with friends.
The wood-fired log burning stove will keep you warm and cosy while the outdoor seating with views across the countryside will make you feel chilled and relaxed in this pretty wildflower meadow location.
Enjoy dinner al fresco in the BBQ area and watch the sun set on the horizon with a glass of something fizzy or a hot chocolate in your hand.

Skipton Castle, Skipton
Visit the market town of Skipton and visit the 900-year-old Skipton Castle where you can walk in the footsteps of history. Explore this impressive medieval fortification and learn about the castle's siege during the English Civil War as you visit the banqueting hall, dungeon and watch tower.
After your visit, walk around this traditional market town with independent shops and cafes, walk along the canal or take a boat trip. A market is held four days a week.
How Stean Gorge Activity Centre
You’re guaranteed some high-octane adventure. Choose from the activities on offer including gorge walking and scrambling, abseiling, caving and canoeing. Some of the activities take place in the wider dales area so you can enjoy amazing scenery too.
Abseil into the gorge before making your way down, scrambling over rocks and plunging into deep pools or do you have the energy to complete the Via Ferrata and abseil hire-wire climbing where you will be tested and challenged while feeling the exhilaration.

Ribblehead Viaduct, near Ingleton
Don your walking boots and outdoor gear and enjoy an 8.4-mile circular walk from the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct up to the summit of Whernside, one of the Three Peaks and then descending back down and returning to Ribblehead.
With some steep climbs and rugged terrain, this is one for experienced walkers, but the views from the top of Whernside are stunning and your reward for making it to the top. Look out for birds and flowers along the way.

Ingleborough Cave, near Ingleton
Ingleborough Cave sits beneath the impressive peak of Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is a magical underground adventure.
Approach the cave entrance through the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail before you descend 500 metres into the depths of the earth. Follow in the footsteps of the Victorian explorers who discovered the caves nearly 200 years ago and wonder at the breath-taking caverns adorned with stalactites and stalagmites.

Nidderdale Museum, Pateley Bridge
Learn about the traditional dales way of life at the Nidderdale Museum in Pateley Bridge.
The museum is housed in the old Victorian workhouse and is a real gem and a time capsule of the dales way of life through time with over 30,000 artefacts bringing the past to life. Imagine yourself as a local from the past and let the history of this part of North Yorkshire come alive.

Malham Cove, Malham
Visit the spectacular limestone rockface of Malham Cove and you will be blown away by the sheer size of this natural wonder.
You can walk up the side of the cove to the limestone paving on the top and follow one of the walking routes from Malham to see nearby Gordale Scar and Janet’s Foss.
Visiting midweek early in the morning is the best time and you can also travel by bus from Skipton.
