Malham Cove

The dramatic limestone landscape of this part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park has been sculpted over millions of years and has left behind the spectacular seventy metre limestone cliff of Malham Cove.

The sheer rock face is popular with climbers and the limestone pavement on the top, a mix of clints (flat slabs) and grykes (fissures) is an impressive sight.
