About Runswick Bay Beach
Named ‘Best Beach of the Year’ in 2020 by The Times, Runswick Bay was described as being close to perfection! This small sheltered beach has rock pools either side of the bay. The beach is in front of a charming village which plays host to a sailing club as well as a number of pleasure and fishing boats. Ideal for families and walkers. Public Toilets in lower village. No Disabled parking. No Disabled toilets. Restricted access to large vehicles due to 1:4 gradient hill. Coaches and Buses not permitted in the lower village. No overnight camping in car parks or the beach. No motorised beach craft such as Jetskis permitted to launch or land at Runswick. Dog friendly all year round – no restrictions - Lifeguarded beach - June to September - Cleveland Way National Trail runs through the village as does The Way of St Hild.
