Itinerary Schedule
Guided walk of Richmond
Discover Richmond on a guided walk. This market town is full of history, and your knowledgeable guide will bring the past to life on this 75-minute walking tour. Book your place at the Richmond Information Centre in the Market Hall and meet your guide here ready to start exploring.
Hear stories from Richmond’s past as your guide leads you along the cobbled streets of the town. The tours are occasionally led by a Victorian policeman in full uniform!
The guided walks start at 11am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and booking is essential.
Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience
Learn about the world of cheese as you join a Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience at the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes. Watch a live cheesemaking demonstration where expert cheesemakers show you each step of the process that goes into producing this delicious cheese, beloved by Wallace and Gromit.
Next you’ll discover more about the heritage of cheesemaking in this part of the Yorkshire Dales and you can look into the Creamery from the viewing gallery and enjoy some tastings.
Daily demonstration times: 10:30am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 3.45pm
Tractor Driving Experience
If you have dreamed about driving a tractor, this is your chance to drive one for real. The 1 hour 1-2-1 experience at Farm Adventure near Masham lets you drive an iconic John Deere tractor while you are guided by an instructor who will also tell you about farm life.
You’ll enjoy every moment that the time will fly by and don’t forget to take some photos of yourself in the driver’s seat as you learn more about being a farmer in the Yorkshire Dales.
Harewood Afternoon Tea
Nothing says English elegance more than taking afternoon tea in the grand surroundings of a stately home. The afternoon tea at Harewood is inspired by the seasons, meaning you can experience something different in spring, summer and autumn.
The afternoon tea menu features seasonal ingredients, some of which have been grown in the walled garden. Your booking includes access to the house, grounds and gardens so take the opportunity to explore these before or after you eat.
Served Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the Harewood main season. Must be pre-booked.
