Join an experienced guide from Richmond Information Centre on an informative (and not too strenuous) walk around Richmond.
About This Experience
Explore a historic town in Yorkshire and let a local lead you through cobbled streets, narrow alleys and grand vistas of Richmond regaling stories passed down through generations. Here at Richmond Information Centre we are proud of our historic old town, and love to show it to visitors. Sometimes the walks are led by a Victorian policeman in full uniform – how good is that?!

The walks are circular, leaving from the Market Hall at 11am every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. They last about 75 minutes and are led by a knowledgeable volunteer guide.
Guided walks for parties of up to 10 people.
Sorry, but we can’t take dogs on the walk.
Booking
There is no charge for these walks, but any donations are very welcome and will help run our volunteer-staffed Information Centre.
Please book ahead if possible. You can:

- Phone 01748 826468 (10am - 4pm)
- Email: walks@richmondinfo.net, indicating date and number of places wanted.
On the day, please check in at the Richmond Information Centre in the Market Hall a few minutes before the walk.
NB - during the winter months, walks will only take place if booked by 15:00 on the preceding day.
Taking Care...
Suitable footwear is advised; stiletto heels are risky on cobbles! We believe the route is suitable for powered wheelchairs and can be slightly adapted if necessary for ease of accessibility. Nowhere in Richmond is completely flat, but the circuit avoids any serious hills.
