The Hut in the Wood Askrigg

Our lovely shepherd's hut sleeps 2 and is completely private and situated well away from the house.

The cosy hut has a comfy king size bed, table and chairs, kitchen area with small oven/grill and induction hob, and a little log burner to keep you nice and warm. Outside you have an acre of woodland garden with beautiful views over the fields of sheep to Addlebrough Hill. There is a patio table and chairs and a firepit, ideal to keep you warm whilst stargazing with a drink and toasting marshmallows.

The heated shower room with WC and basin, for your exclusive use, is 100m along the garden path. There is also a small wooden building housing a waterless toilet a few steps from The Hut. Fluffy towels, shampoo, shower gel and hand wash all provided.

There is mains electric and good WiFi and mobile signal but no running water at the hut itself, but we provide large  bottles of tap water for you to use for drinking, cooking, washing dishes etc which are replenished whenever you need.

The Hut is situated just on the outskirts of beautiful Askrigg and it is a 5 minute walk into the village where you will find 3 pubs, a deli/cafe, village shop, local craft shop and the lovely St Oswald's Church.
