About McMillans of Malton
We're a father son duo, Jim & James, that was essentially born over several pints and a pipe dream. We started in 2016 with little to no experience in the drink industry. Dad (Jim) was working night shifts in a steel factory, having been made redundant as a teacher and I (James) as a Land/Property Agent. After far too many beers in the local one night, we thought it would be a good idea to open a whisky shop in a property I was letting at the time, and the rest as they say is history. We love what we do and if your able to get to the shop we promise a warm, kilted (dads full scot, I’m half) welcome with samples and terrible banter.
