About Ladies Riggs and Ashfoldside Moorland Walk

An easy to follow route that goes from fields to fells to moorland and industrial heritage before gently following a stream back down to Pateley Bridge, this route features a popular section of the Nidderdale Way. At the furthest point the walk reaches the Prosperous Lead Mines - a fascinating heritage site, once a thriving pocket of industry, now reclaimed by nature. This traffic-free and dog-friendly route offers a good climb at its start and fantastic views across Nidderdale.
