Harrogate Horticultural Nursery is a well-loved destination for gardeners and plant enthusiasts, offering a wide variety of high-quality plants throughout the year. In spring, the nursery bursts into colour with an impressive selection of bedding plants, perfect for brightening up borders and containers. As the seasons shift, vibrant summer and autumn bedding plants take centre stage, providing long-lasting displays and seasonal interest. Alongside these, the nursery stocks a diverse range of perennial plants available all year round—ideal for creating structure, texture, and year-after-year blooms in any garden. With expert advice and a welcoming atmosphere, the nursery is a go-to spot for both experienced gardeners and those just starting out.

Christmas at the horticultural nursery

Christmas at Harrogate Horticultural Nursery is a truly magical time, with the site transforming into a seasonal showcase of colour and greenery. From mid-November, freshly cut Nordmann Fir Christmas trees, ranging from 4ft to 9ft, are available—known for their excellent needle retention and full, bushy shape. This year, we’re excited to introduce the slimline Nordmann Fir – perfect for tighter spaces without compromising on festive charm. These are offered alongside a stunning selection of poinsettia and cyclamen plants in a variety of sizes and colours, as well as Christmas tree stands and ready-made wreaths. Our popular wreath making workshops offer a chance to create your own festive wreath using natural materials foraged from the nearby pinewoods, making it a perfect seasonal activity for all ages.
