About Special Guest: Lisa Jewell - Old Swan Hotel

To have one hugely successful literary career could possibly be considered a lucky accident (it really wasn’t) but to have two is testament to a once-in-a-generation writing talent. Lisa Jewell wrote ten much-loved women’s fiction and romantic comedy novels before turning to crime with even greater success, delivering a dazzling dozen psychological thrillers, which fans have devoured.

Lisa, our 2026 Programming Chair, has sold almost 15 million books worldwide, translated into 30 languages. With novels such as Don’t Let Him In, Then She Was Gone, None of This is True, and The Family Upstairs, she has established herself as the master of addictive narratives, complex character and shocking twists, skilfully exploring themes of family, loss, love, and betrayal. Her latest is the gripping It Could Have Been Her. Lisa will be interviewed by global superstar and creator of Jack Reacher, Lee Child.
