The Old Swan Hotel

With 136 traditionally-styled bedrooms overlooking the town or the peaceful hotel gardens, many feature the elegant proportions of this Victorian hotel. Choose from classic to executive to one of our 10 individually-designed suites, some featuring four-poster beds, roll-top baths and private sitting rooms. Our largest suite includes a private dining room.

With its magnificent glass-ceiling and elegant Victorian proportions, The Wedgwood Restaurant at The Old Swan in Harrogate has to be one of the most impressive dining rooms anywhere.  It takes you back to another era when fine dining was to be savoured and enjoyed and we’ve maintained that tradition with seasonally-changing menus featuring only the best local Yorkshire produce. Our menus have been carefully created by our Head Chef using the best fresh ingredients, sourced where we can from local suppliers.

Built in 1840 and one of Harrogate's finest hotels. The Old Swan combines warm, traditional hospitality with contemporary comfort and extremely flexible event space, all set in acres of private gardens. Located in the heart of this historic spa town, easily accessible from the main motorway network and five minutes’ walk from the Harrogate Convention Centre.

The hotel was the famous retreat of crime queen Agatha Christie who 'disappeared' here in 1926. The hotel retains the elegance and splendour of a former era and is the ideal atmosphere to impress clients and conduct events.
