Dates:
Sat 28 Mar 2026 9:30 AM - Sun 19 Apr 2026 9:30 AM

About Easter Wonderland - Mother Shipton's Cave

Tumble down the rabbit hole into an Easter Wonderland at Mother Shipton’s, an award-winning attraction voted the Best Magical Experience in the York area.

EGG-splore the enchanting woodland, transformed into a springtime dream with EGG-stravagant Easter scenes inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Join the Mad Hatter at his wonderfully silly immersive Tea Party, where mischief and madness are always on the menu. Come face-to-face with the formidable Queen of Hearts and the elegant White Queen, but who will win your heart? Say hello to Alice herself as Wonderland comes to life around you.

Discover EGG-ceptional photo opportunities at every turn, come along dressed up in your finest Wonderland-inspired outfits, and share your snaps with us using #mothershiptons for a chance to win free tickets.

Beyond the Easter enchantment, explore England’s Oldest Tourist Attraction, home to the legendary Mother Shipton’s Cave, the spellbinding Petrifying Well, and a large children’s Adventure Playground (weather permitting). Visit the Gift Shop to take home a piece of the magic.

Treat yourself to delicious delights from the vintage-style kiosks, serving ice cream, hot dogs, sweet and savoury treats, plus takeaway coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and refreshing drinks. There’s plenty of undercover seating — and you can even toast marshmallows to create your very own Fluffy Bunny S’mores.

Pack a picnic and host your own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party among the blooming woodland. Four-legged friends are welcome too (on a lead) for a scenic mile-long walk along the River Nidd - just not in the adventure playground or gift shop.

Don’t be late for this very important date — join us for an award-winning Easter adventure where magic, madness, and wonder await!
