Autumn Colour at the Arboretum
From Castle Howard ArboretumAbout Autumn Colour at the Arboretum
As the rich tapestry of autumn colour begins to unfold across the Arboretum, visitors can enjoy fiery reds, glowing oranges and golden yellows among more than 7,000 trees from around the world. Adding to the seasonal excitement is the arrival of a young female red squirrel, a welcome sight for one of Britain's most cherished native mammals. Set amongst 120 acres of woodland, lakes and wide vistas, the Arboretum provides an important haven for wildlife and a spectacular setting to experience the beauty of autumn.
