About NYMR Santa Express - North Yorkshire Moors Railway
Relax and enjoy the winter scenery as the elves fill the journey with songs, games and festive fun. Back at the station, the Christmas magic continues with festive fete games and a letter to Santa post box, so be sure to leave a little extra time to enjoy it all.
On Board The Train
Enjoy an hour-long round trip between Pickering and Levisham. Along the way, Santa and his elves will come to find you, bringing a gift for every child.
You will meet Elton Elf, our musical genius, Chef Custard, who cooks for Santa and Rudolf, and Joey Marshmallow, our resident trickster elf.
Keep an eye out for Gingersnap, our gingerbread puppet. He arrives on a baking tray after having a bit of a mishap in the kitchen and throughout the show the elves will be on hand to help piece together what happened.

• A Naughty or Nice Scanner, where your ticket will get stamped
• Christmas-themed fete games
• A gingerbread man themed activity
• A Write and Post Your Letter to Santa station
• Festive sing-along performances on the event stage on Platform 2
• Christmas Emporium, where you can pick up festive gifts
• Tearooms and gift shop on Platform 1

Good news, we have held our 2025 prices for this year:
• 28 & 29 November - £29.50 per person
• 5, 6, 12 & 13 December - £34.50 per person
• 19, 20, 22, 23 & 24 December - £39.50 per person
• Carer Ticket - £17.50 per carer
• Wheelchair User tickets also available online
A £1.50 booking fee applies per booking.
