Annette Cole lives on the edge of the Dales. Her fascination with clay led her to pursue ceramics on completion of her foundation degree. Her work reflects her love of colour and texture, inspired by the amazing scenery and rock formations of the Dales and Northumberland. Annette has been developing new work exploring the use of ‘special effects’ glazes.

Carol Metcalfe studied in various media before researching ash glazes made from arable crop waste. Carol's ceramics capture the essence of the Yorkshire countryside, by means of textures, coloured slips and overlapping layers of her own home-grown glazes. This process produces rich and complex surfaces. She also draws on her wider experience to present artworks in other medi

Donna Slyfield creates paintings which emerge from a sensual connection to the natural environment. Developing into an impressionistic style, she seeks out those elements within the landscape that keep her entranced. Donna describes her process as responsive and intuitive, being in the moment, and enjoys the emotional connection felt by those who see her work.
