For a slice of traditional Scarborough head for one of it’s two bays with glorious sandy beaches. The South bay is alive with the bright lights of the amusements, souvenir shops and buzzing café and restaurant culture along with an endless choice of ice-cream, sticks of rock or maybe a tray of chips to tempt you as you pass!
Hop on the open-top bus or take a brisk 2 mile walk around Marine drive and the castle headland to the north bay where the colourful chalet lined beach front provides a perfect base to explore. Take your pick from breakfast with seals, riding a miniature train, climbing high ropes, crazy golf or grab a local surf instructor and get busy on those waves!
With a historic castle and a collection of seaside heritage, amusements and adventure activities, Scarborough will keep everyone entertained right through the day. When evening comes its time to sit back and be entertained with Scarborough’s rich theatre scene, offering an ever-surprising mix of shows at one of a choice of theatres and live venues all within easy reach.
