Itinerary Schedule
North Yorkshire Moors Railway
All aboard the Santa Express! The train departs from Pickering Station and as you arrive, you will see the station decorated for Christmas. Listen to singing on the platform and try some traditional games. When it is time to board the train, you will be met by Father Christmas’ elves, Elton Elf, Joey Marshmallow and Chef Custard who will keep you entertained until it’s time to meet Father Christmas himself. Children will receive a special gift to take home with them.
Helmsley
Spend the afternoon exploring the picture-perfect market town of Helmsley. Call in to one of the many independent cafes for some lunch and once fuelled up, you can spend the rest of the afternoon indulging in some retail therapy in the many independent shops. Pick out a good book to cosy up with at Christmas or find the perfect gift for the book lover in your life, treat yourself to something special in one of the gift shops and call in to an art gallery. Finish the afternoon in one of the cosy pubs curled up by the fire.
White Swan, Ampleforth
A warm welcome awaits you at the White Swan in Ampleforth. Find a comfy spot in the bar for a drink before heading into the restaurant where you can eat delicious seasonal dishes created using local produce. Choose from a menu of pub favourites and seasonal dishes and finish your festive day out with a yummy pudding. When it’s cold outside, this cosy village pub is the best place to be.
