About Woodpeckers Cottage

Woodpeckers’ cottage is a bungalow annexe situated in a farming area with stunning views across the Harwood Dale valley about 7 miles inland from Scarborough. The owner lives on-site.

This self-catering bungalow accommodation is a home from home, cosy family size holiday retreat for up to 5 people and up to 2 well behaved dogs allowed (additional Cost charged per dog). The garden is ideal for enjoying breakfast outside in the morning or a quiet glass of wine in the warm summerhouse whilst watching the sun go down in the evening. There is full fibre Wi-Fi broad band and a large TV in the lounge/diner.  The cottage has central heating and an open log fire.

The bungalow is contained on one level, two steps up from the outside. Parking on site for two vehicles. This location is great for bird watching (look out for the woodpecker!), cycling, and has good forest walks which are dog friendly.

The coastal beaches of Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby and beyond are great for fossil hunting and rock pooling, not to mention great places to swim.  The area is full of history and plenty of places to explore and enjoy. There are plenty of good places to eat in and around Scarborough. Local shops are a few miles away and supermarkets such as Tesco and Sainsburys offer delivery service. There is also a farm cart next door where you can buy fruit, veg, jam and eggs.
