About Woldies
Tucked away from the crowds, Woldies in Wintringham, near Malton, is waiting to be conquered by curious children. A tranquil alternative to busy tourist attractions, the family-run business offers magical gardens where children can absorb themselves in nature through fascinating trails and outdoor play.
What You’ll Find at Woldies:
Imaginative Outdoor Play – A miniature ride-on railway train, sand & water play zones, timber trail, den-building area, a huge willow maze, giant garden games, football golf & football pool.
Nature Gardens & Trails – Woodland walk, Spring bulbs and daffodil walk (over 50,000!), tree trail, individual bee, butterfly and bird gardens, wildflower meadows, and lavender fields.
Interactive Learning – Seasonal trails during school holidays are a big hit with visitors. Don't miss the Giant Animal East Egg Hunt during the Easter holidays, Bee Week during May Half Term and the Wild Superhero Mission during the Summer Holidays.
Amenities – On-site café (the Teahive Takeaway) with indoor/outdoor seating, farm shop selling lavender products distilled in‑house, accessible toilets, baby‑changing, wheelchair‑friendly paths, free parking (including disabled spaces), and dog‑friendly policies.
Season & Practical Info:
Open weekends and school holidays from March to early September, with special seasonal trails spring through summer. Memberships are available, please our website for details. Woldies is a full day out for families with young children up to primary school age (although older children love it too!).

A core focus for Woldies, hosting over 20,000 trees planted since 2001, sustainably sourced materials throughout, ground-source heat pumps, solar panels, and eco‑friendly packaging.
