Walk from Valley Gardens to RHS Garden Harlow Carr

This 1.5 mile walk takes you through the beautiful Valley Gardens with its formal beds, spa heritage and restored Japanese Gardens and the Pinewoods, a semi-natural woodland covering approximately 1 sq km, to the stunning RHS Garden Harlow Carr.

Head through the Valley Gardens past the play area and tennis courts and pick up the woodland path by the small war memorial. The right hand path takes you on a direct route through the woods crossing Harlow Moor Road and continuing straight ahead through mature evergreen and native trees.

As you approach RHS Garden Harlow Carr, look for the viewpoint and the interpretation board lisiting visible features across the landscape.

Follow the path via the car parks to the main entrance of RHS Garden Harlow Carr or continue your walk by turning right and following the road to Birk Crag before looping back into the town.

The footpaths are a mix of tarmac and woodland path making it an accessible walk for all.

Disc parking is available on Valley Drive and the nearest bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the main entrance of the Valley Gardens.
