About Thirley Cotes Farm

Thirley Cotes Farm consists of eight lovingly renovated holiday cottages- from romantic boltholes for 2 to spacious family retreats sleeping up to 10. The cottages combine traditional charm (exposed trusses, Roman numerals marking original builds) with modern comfort.

The estate features the following:

  • Private hot tub and garden for each cottage featuring teak furniture and BBQ
  • Communal Games room and children’s playground
  • Private parking and EV charging available
  • All cottages are pet-friendly

The Durbin family personally owns and manages the estate, with an onsite office to greet guests, advise on local highlights, and ensure a relaxed stay. Friendly staff are on hand for recommendations on the best coastal walks, dog-friendly pubs, or seaside excursions.

The estate is not just a place to stay- it’s also a wildlife haven. Portions of the grounds are deliberately left “rough and wild” to support local flora and fauna. Birdboxes, a fenced wildlife pond (where you might spot herons or starlings), and nesting barn owls thrive here all year-round.

Thirley Cotes Farm offers charming, top-quality self-catering accommodation in a peaceful, wildlife-rich setting, blending centuries of history, thoughtful restoration, and modern eco-friendly conveniences. It’s ideal for anyone seeking a countryside-and-coast escape with character and comfort.
