Swinton Cookery School

Swinton Cookery School is a relaxed, open, demonstration kitchen, housed in our converted Georgian Coach House. The Cookery School sits adjacent to Swinton Park on the Swinton Estate with views across the castle, portico and front lawn.

The team in the Cookery School are passionate about using sustainable, local and seasonal produce where possible and provide a busy programme of half-day and full-day ‘hands-on’, practical cookery courses run throughout the year. Courses are available for all ages and abilities, including cookery lessons for children in the school holidays. The Cookery School comfortably accommodates up to 12 adult guests and 8 for the children’s courses, and is also available for private hire or as part of a corporate day.

From preparing the ‘Ultimate Sunday Lunch’ to ‘French Brasserie’, ‘Modern World Street Food’ and BBQ skills, there is a course to suit everyone’s culinary tastes. Swinton Cookery School also hosts an unforgettable culinary and dining experience at the Chef’s Table. Relax and watch as your Chef for the evening prepares a gourmet menu for you and your guests, talking you through each stage. The Cookery School Chef Tutor brings the experience to life with an array of skills and tips, serving each course as it has been prepared for you.
