Swinton Bivouac Family Bike Trails

If you enjoy an adrenaline rush, you’ll love our mountain bike trails in the woodland at Swinton Bivouac, Masham.

There are 8km of off-road natural trails through the woodland and across surrounding fields, with plenty of options–from family-friendly gentle green routes to the thrills and spills of a black run. Our mountain bike trails range from wide, flat tracks to steep downhill descents with jumps and bridges.

Swinton Bivouac is situated in a beautiful Yorkshire setting among rolling hills and woodland near Masham and overlooking the Colsterdale reservoirs of Leighton and Roundhill. The site also includes the locally famous folly of the Druids Temple, providing an excellent backdrop to an off-road leg stretch.

Parking is available (chargeable) at the on-site Bivouac Café, with delicious cake and coffee served throughout the day! Opening times vary seasonally, so please check the Swinton Estate website for opening hours.
