Settle provides easy access to spectacular countryside with gentle ambles and challenging treks. A wealth of history and adventures can be uncovered as you explore this area of the Dales. The town has a wealth of independent shops and cafes, a grade one listed house incorporating the local museum and the world’s oldest Music Hall. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway begins its journey here in the town as it travels through open countryside passing the iconic Yorkshire Three Peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside before crossing the Ribblehead Viaduct and onward north.
Settle Tourist Information Centre offers a wide range of publications, local guides, maps and souvenirs to help you make the most of your visit. We also showcase local artisans work including a selection of greetings cards and hand-crafted gifts.
There is also a wide range of travel information available including Bus/Rail timetables as well as information on Walking and Cycling routes.
We also provide extensive local information such where to park, shopping, local events and services.
