Coxwold Tearoom and B&B
The quintessentially English tearoom with a Thai twist. Amazing cakes and scones to die for. Lunches, snacks, afternoon teas, Thai supper nights and fully licensed.
About Coxwold Tearoom and B&B
There has been a tearoom here since the 1960s. Keith and Pathitta (Jimmy) took it over in November 2024. We moved here from Bangkok where Jimmy had her own Thai cooking school and Keith worked in education management.
Our first changes are now in place. We have taken the existing garden and tidied it up. By building on what was already there, we now have a beautiful oasis of peace which our customers (and their dogs) can enjoy whenever we are open. We have also reinstated a bridge across the beck to the playground and village hall.
We have two indoor tearooms and a small shop area. When we took over, very little was done by way of catering. We have worked on that and now offer a range of snacks and light meals. We have a ‘specials’ menu which changes every month and includes two Thai dishes. We have also added afternoon tea to our offerings – both a traditional one and one with a Thai twist.
A big change is the introduction of our Thai supper evenings. We have these once a month (usually the fourth Friday each month) and offer a set three course menu. You can check dates and book by emailing us on coxwoldtearoom@gmail.com
We have also restarted the Thai cooking school and classes have been running once a month from September 2025. Again, please email us for dates and how to book. For normal classes, you will learn how to prepare and cook three different Thai dishes and you will eat what you have produced. If you’d like to take it home, it is enough for a meal for two. Classes start at £89.00 per person for a half day or evening.
We have three letting rooms for bed and breakfast. We also take bookings for buffet lunches etc and are happy to quote for catered premises hire on days that we are closed.
