All Creatures Great and Small Yorkshire Dales Tour

About This Experience
The Tour
All Creatures Great and Small is filmed in the Yorkshire Dales, and the landscape is as much a part of the series as the vets themselves. This private driven tour takes you to the villages, pubs and valleys you know from the screen, with a guide who grew up here and knows the places the tour buses never stop.
Where We Go
Grassington, whose cobbled market square becomes Darrowby, home to the Drovers Arms and Skeldale House. The Craven Arms at Appletreewick, where the Drovers interior moved for the later series. Arncliffe in Littondale, with the rear yard of Skeldale House, the Darrowby Show green and the Falcon Inn, once the original Woolpack in Emmerdale. Hubberholme, where the wedding interior was filmed. The thirteenth century Green Dragon Inn at Hardraw, with Hardraw Force behind it. And Ribblehead Viaduct, the most dramatic structure in the western Dales.
Half Day or Full Day
The half day tour, around four hours, covers Grassington, Appletreewick, Arncliffe and Littondale. The full day, around eight hours, adds Hubberholme, Hardraw and the Green Dragon, Ribblehead and a few locations that are not on any published list.
Your Guide
The tour is led by Ryan, founder of Hike Yorkshire, who grew up in the Dales and spent six years in the Royal Marines. You get the stories behind the filming, the history of the villages and the landscape that shaped James Herriot's world.
