Over & Above

Founded in March 2025, Over & Above is an independent bar that takes their drinks seriously but never themselves, offering delicious cocktails, wines, beers & spirits in a relaxed yet considered environment with very friendly table service. The menu focuses on drinks with certain elements taken over & above.

Founders Rich & Fran Hamer have both had a lifelong love for hospitality. Rich managed cocktail bars in Edinburgh before moving to London & working for Sipsmith Gin as the Head of Prestige & Advocacy, working with the best bars across the UK for a decade. Fran grew up in family-run restaurants in London & has a passion for excellent wine & food.

Currently 38th in the UK Top 50 Cocktail Bars - the first bar from North Yorkshire to ever feature on the prestigious list.
