About 80th Anniversary Gold Cup
Oliver’s Mount will celebrate its 80th anniversary this year with the first motorcycle race event taking place back on 17th September 1946. Scarborough also celebrates it's 400 year anniversary of the discovery of it's spa waters and ultimately becoming a seaside resort.
To commemorate both anniversaries Visit North Yorkshire are working with the motorsport club on a special Gold Cup 80th Anniversary Event to be held September 2026.
Join us for a three-day celebration of Oliver's Mount race circuit. Since 1946, Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough has been the heart of pure road racing in England, and the Gold Cup remains its most iconic event. This special anniversary year brings added excitement, with guest riders, celebratory races and top competitors all vying for one of the sport’s most prestigious trophies. It’s a rare chance to experience a legendary motorsport tradition in a setting like no other.
