Alexander Woodrow, Organist of Leeds Minster

A celebratory final concert marking the completion of a unique six-day walking recital journey across Yorkshire. This concluding performance brings together music, endurance, and pilgrimage, as the final stage of a 104-mile route linking churches and communities through live organ music.

The programme features a 50-minute selection of major works from the organ repertoire, including J. S. Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Widor’s Toccata from Symphony No. 5, alongside music by S. S. Wesley, Mendelssohn, and Vierne.

This final recital represents the culmination of an ambitious artistic journey combining long-distance walking with a series of six live performances, celebrating both musical heritage and human endurance.

A retiring collection will be taken, supporting the Choral Scholarship programme at Leeds Minster and the mission and ministry of the host church.
