What's on in Masham
The weekly Masham market brings a vibrant buzz to the town as traders pack the town square with stalls offering anything you could want or need. Alongside the traditional fruit and veg you will find a range of amazing cheeses, fresh fish, beautiful flowers and artisan crafts from across Yorkshire.
July sees the annual Masham Steam Engine and Fair Organ Rally, as well as the best of local produce there are a range of steam and traction engines in steam and operating. These once functional yet beautiful machines capture the romance of a bygone age for all the family.
Masham is home to the annual multisport extravaganza Long Course Weekend Yorkshire, where hundreds of competitors run, ride and swim their way through consecutive events and courses. The town’s market squares the event village with a festival-like atmosphere across three days of physical challenge.
At the end of September, the town commemorates its woolly history with the lively annual Masham Sheep Fair. Sheep racing, market stalls and a celebration of rare breeds are just some of the entertainments on offer.
The town hall is host to a range of events throughout the year including live music and comedy from some of the country's big names. Find all the upcoming events below.
