- Whats On In Knaresborough
Knaresborough is home to great events including perhaps the wackiness, most unusual event in North Yorkshire – The Great Knaresborough Bed Race. Held on the second Saturday in June this annual event combines a gruelling athletic contest with a spectacular fancy dress parade of decorated beds and runners through the town!
August sees FEVA - the Festival of Entertainment and Visual Arts at venues around the town including free events in the marketplace. The festival is home to musical acts, art exhibitions and spoken word events with lots of entertainment for all the family.
Christmas is a busy time in the town with lots of events taking place throughout December. Bright Friday heralds the start of the festive season as the town’s lights are switched on. The Christmas Market is a popular weekend bringing lots of people into the town and finishing with a firework display and the Christmas Tree Festival at St John’s Church is a special way to get in the Christmas spirit.
The Frazer Theatre has a calendar of musical performances and plays throughout the year.
