What to expect.
Filey is a small town full of character and charm with elegant Victorian terrace houses stretching the clifftop over looking the crescent gardens and out to sea. The town has a laid-back timeless feel with beautiful public gardens offering traditional leisure activities is such as a pebble labyrinth, boating lake and putting and bandstand.
Filey’s rich fishing history is still a big part of life here, most evident on the Coble Landing slipway to the beach, where you’ll see traditional coble boats and fresh crab catches.
North of the beach, you can look out towards the rugged cliffs of Filey Brigg, a long, narrow peninsula stretching into the North Sea. You can reach the top of the Brigg by foot and car, to enjoy magnificent views across Filey Bay.
Below the Brigg, you can explore the rock pools but be careful not to get caught out by the tide. With the beach and well‑maintained gardens, there’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.
