Whitby Museum is a treasure trove of local artefacts, objects, documents, photographs, and paintings with interest for all Key Stages.

About Whitby Museum School Visits

We welcome school parties of up to 40 pupils plus accompanying adults. To ensure the enjoyment of all our visitors we ask that you bring one adults for every eight children. Charges of £7 per head are made for the compulsory adults with all children and additional adults admitted free of charge. Whitby Museum is keen to make its resources available for educational purposes. At certain times the Museum is heavily booked so please book well in advance - please ring 01947 602908 or email enquiries@whitbymuseum.org.uk.

We recommend that you visit the museum ahead of your class visit to familiarise yourself with the collection and layout. We are happy to arrange this free of charge but it must be booked in advance via the museum manager: manager@whitbymuseum.org.uk. We are set in the beautiful surroundings of Pannett Park where there is also a wonderful playpark for you to enjoy.
