History & Story

Opened over 175 years ago, the Victorian station once welcomed trains into Richmond. After falling into disuse, it was saved and transformed through a major community led restoration. Today it is owned and operated by the Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust, with all funds supporting the building’s upkeep and local heritage projects. The result is a beautifully reimagined space where film, food and art come together in a landmark of local history.
