About Scarborough North Bay Railway

Scarborough North Bay Railway is Britain’s biggest miniature railway, delighting young and old since 1931. The 2 mile return journey has beautiful views along the North Bay coastline, also doubling as a transport link connecting Peasholm Park with Scalby Mills. In addition, we have the Sky Trail high ropes, an historic Water Chute, Water Walkers, Bumper Boats and Electric fire, pilot and police boats.

Our well-stocked gift shop offers a fantastic selection of souvenirs for friends and family, together with now offering take-away food, refreshments and ice creams. Both our stations are wheelchair-friendly with step-free access whilst our trains are also fully accessible.

Dogs on a lead are welcome on our trains for a small fee.

Our railway opens during most school breaks and daily from Easter to the end of October, with additional events being held throughout the year, including our ever popular Santa Specials. Keep up-to-date with all our news by checking our website and social media channels.

We do not take forward-bookings, so payment will be taken on the day of your visit. We ask that you pay by credit or debit card only.
