About Scarborough North Bay Railway
Scarborough North Bay Railway is Britain’s biggest miniature railway, delighting young and old since 1931. The 2 mile return journey has beautiful views along the North Bay coastline, also doubling as a transport link connecting Peasholm Park with Scalby Mills.
At Peasholm Station, splash down on the Historic Water Chute and hit the heights on our Skytrail. Take to the lake on our Boats & Balls. Indulge in soft scoop ice cream and delicious hot food including stone baked pizzas from Sidings Snack Shack. Wrap up your visit by grabbing a memento from one of our station gift shops.
Both our stations are wheelchair-friendly with step-free access whilst our trains are also fully accessible.

Frequently asked questions
- Can we bring our dog?
Dogs are very welcome to the SNBR and on our train - we charge a flat fare of £1.50 per dog.
- I am a wheelchair user, am I able to travel on the train?
Yes, we have a disabled access carriage which is available on all of our trains.
- Is there any parking?
There is ample pay & display parking (operated by North Yorkshire Council) next to both of our stations.
- Do you take cash?
No, we are a cashless site, only taking payments via debit or credit card and smartphone apps.
- Can I split my journey?
Yes, you can split your journey and use the remainder of your ticket on the same day as purchase.
