Scarborough Market Hall & Vaults

Scarborough Market Hall & Vaults has undergone a 2.7m refurbishment in 2016 creating a fresh and modern market whilst still retaining the authentic character and feel of a traditional market in an attractive, historic building.

It was officially opened by the Mayor of Scarborough, Cllr Simon Green, in April 2017. The refurbishment has seen the addition of a brand new Gallery floor and food court with a choice of eateries along with a range of unique shops selling bespoke gifts, handmade jewellery, art, cakes, honey, beauticians, photographers and much more.

The Main Hall provides a choice of butchers and greengrocers, a delicatessen as well as men’s, women’s and children’s clothing plus beauty and massage salons. The Hall also has regular Casual Trader Stalls selling a variety of products such as jewellery, slate art, crocheted blankets and art photography. The Vaults underneath the Market Hall is a labyrinth of exciting shops with antiques, home furnishings, handmade gifts, second hand books and much more.

As well as a shopping destination, the Market Hall is also fast becoming a cultural venue with a programme of upcoming Music and Events.
