Scarborough Library & Information Centre

Scarborough Library has recently under gone a £450,000 refurbishment, which includes:

- A spacious and bright Junior Library for children and families of all ages with weekly under 5’ activities

- Dedicated IT facilities including private booths and study tables with inbuilt device charging points.

- Free one to one IT support is available by appointment with our team of volunteer IT Buddies.

- Photocopying and printing are also available along with access to free Wi-Fi throughout the Library.

- A welcoming Community and Exhibition Space complete with hot drink facilities is available and hosts regular community events and drop-ins.

- Local Study and Family History materials and Archives are located in our Scarborough Room which includes amongst other things large scale maps, digital microfilm reader and free access to Ancestry & Find My Past

The Library has ramps, automatic doors, lifts, a disabled toilet and an induction loop system.

Facilities: Dedicated children's Library which includes a wide range of books including Board Books, Picture Books, Dual Language, Dyslexia Friendly, Graphic Novels, Chapter Books, Early Reader’s and parent help books. Young Adult Area which includes Study Guides, Young Adult Fiction & Non Fiction, Self Help guides. Main Library a variety of Fiction & Non Fiction books, including Large Print, Biographies, Crime Graphic Novel, Local History, Audio Books, DVDs and Reading Well Collection
