A 75-80 minute guided tour around Robin Hood’s Bay on the history of smuggling and the events in Robin Hood’s Bay itself at the height of its 18th century smuggling period. Kids go FREE. Dogs welcome. Walk dates can be seen on posters in local shops.
About Robin Hood's Bay Smugglers Walks
This guided tour is not your ordinary guided tour where you walk and listen as the guide babbles on. This tour has moments of audience participation & is part performance along with the usual informative history of smuggling in the UK and Robin Hood’s Bay. We cover the general background and causes of smuggling and focus on this Yorkshire coast hotspot at the height of its activity in the later 1700s, along with its decline.
Kids aged 16 & under go FREE.
Dogs are welcome.
Walks are normally Thursdays and Saturdays but more are provided as the season warms up. Look for posters in local shops for dates and times.
