Three Museums – One City
The Ripon Courthouse Museum is one of three Ripon Museums located in the heart of the city.
Alongside the humbling Ripon Workhouse & Garden and the evocative Prison & Police Museum, visitors can trace a historic journey from poverty to crime and punishment.
From England's most complete workhouse to the cells of the prison and the dock of the courthouse, the three Ripon Museums offer a full day out with plenty of hands-on activities and a unique opportunity to understand how history impacts our lives today, while exploring ways to create a fairer society.
Explore all three museums and the gardens, with additional activities and events running across all school holidays, including three family trails. We also have community exhibitions and workshops throughout the year. Visit our website for more details.
