About Malton Library and Information Centre

Malton Library & Information Centre is located on St Michael Street and offers a large selection of books, audiobooks, maps, and DVDs available to be borrowed. As an information centre we have a collection of local walks to take away, and a community board to find out about local events.

For kids we have a stay and play session for under 5s every Monday at 10:30, and a Storytime every Tuesday at 10:30. We also have a Lego club for families on Wednesdays 13:00-15:00 and Saturdays 10:00-12:00.

For the adults we have a craft club on Tuesdays at 17:00-19:00 and a board game club on Fridays at 14:00-16:00.

The library is in St Michael Street, which links the main shopping street, Wheelgate, and the marketplace. It is approximately a ten-minute walk from both the bus and railway station. There are two disabled car parking spaces at the front of the library. Free parking for up to two hours is available in the marketplace, a five-minute walk away, and long and short-stay car parks are about ten minutes' walk away. The library has automatic doors and is accessible to wheelchairs.
