It is essential that anyone embarking on a walk across the Moors is properly equipped (water-proof walking boots, waterproof clothing, etc.) and have the relevant OS Maps (Explorer OL26) and compass or GPS. This route crosses open moorland. Make sure you can do the walk comfortably in the time available - otherwise you may have to wait a week for the next bus back!
