The Knaresborough Heritage Centre offers locals and visitors an interesting and informative opportunity to experience the history, archaeology, and culture of this vibrant tourist destination. Our small but highly informative site opposite the bus stations gives an insight into the lives of Knaresborians past and present to introduce you to our wonderful town.
The Heritage Centre consists of a newly refurbished museum gallery, visitor information area and small heritage shop.
Tourism information and advice
The community-run Heritage Centre also has a range of tourist information leaflets and local maps along with very knowledgeable and helpful volunteer staff.
Free entry
There is no entry fee as such, but we appreciate donations from visitors as these pay our extensive running costs.
Saturday guided walks
We run weekly guided history walks at 2pm on Saturdays.
