A stronghold of medieval kings, Knaresborough Castle is beautifully set, overlooking the River Nidd.

The castle grounds are open to the public throughout the year and offer incredible views over the River Nidd and railway viaduct. During the spring and summer months, live musical performances take place in the castle grounds on Sunday afternoons from 2pm.
Visit the Courtroom Museum to discover an original Tudor courtroom and learn more about Knaresborough’s colourful history.
Newly renovated CAstle Critters activity room, is where a fun-filled family experience awaits, with exciting activities for everyone to enjoy. Activities Include:

Season tickets valid for both the Royal Pump Room Museum and Knaresborough Castle are available for adults, children and families. Prices range between £10-£40 and allow you to visit as many times as you like for one year.
