About Helme Pasture Lodges & Cottages

Farmhouse cottages and genuine Scandinavian lodges situated within a mature award winning woodland on the Nidderdale hillside. Can sleep from 1 to 10 people in a single building up to a maximum of 16 across all our properties. Ideal for couples or larger groups who are looking for the peace and tranquillity of the woodland surroundings together with every modern comfort. Onsite parking is available and an EV charger is available for our guests.

Our lodges are rated four stars by Visit England and for older and less mobile guests. The cottages are kept to the same standard but not Visit England inspected.

Our two semi-detached Scandinavian lodges were built for arctic conditions and are normally used as two separate and fully equipped lodges but can be opened up via double adjoining doors to maximise space when needed.

Our smallest cottage - the Byre is on the ground floor of our converted farmhouse with a double bedroom and open plan sitting room with additional sleeping if required along with an integral kitchen/dining area. Bathroom comprises of a shower, but no bath.

Our highest quality cottage – The Old Barn is situated above the Byre with rear views into our woodland from the wooden beamed upstairs bedroom and views into the Nidderdale valley from the open plan kitchen and lounge.

Local attractions such as Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Ripley Castle are just a short drive away. For walkers and cyclists, the Nidderdale Way and 2014 Tour de France route are nearby.
