Hebden Beck & Mossy Moor Circular Walk

Discover the hidden waterfalls and incredible vistas on this short circular walk. This trail takes you on the route from Hebden village to Scale Haw Force through lead mining heritage landscape and up onto the tops where you will find Mossy Moor Reservoir.

Follow the scenic path along Hebden Beck and into the open moorland where you pass Hole Bottom and Bolton Gill. Climb up a short hill up towards Mossy Moor Reservoir, where at the right time of year, you can spot nesting Curlew. Follow the wall until you reach Scar Top House where you will take a right turn through a stile and slowly start to drop back into Hebden, with stunning views from above of the village and the classic rolling hills and drystone walls of the Yorkshire Dales. There is a lovely tearoom located in a beautiful setting in the Old School House in the village.
