About Danby Lodge National Park Centre

Located on the outskirts of the village of Danby, Danby Lodge National Park Centre is at the very heart of the beautiful North York Moors and is the perfect place to start any visit to the National Park.

Find out about the people, places and wildlife of the North York Moors with the interactive exhibits and take a look at the acclaimed Inspired by… gallery, with its changing exhibitions of work by accomplished artists. Artwork including prints and photography, and a variety of artisan crafts, are available for sale in the gallery shop and craft area.

For kids, there’s an outdoor adventure play area and indoor climbing wall, children’s trails and a lively events programme. There are pushchair and wheelchair friendly woodland and riverside trails around the grounds and plenty of picnic areas and seating if you just want to sit back and soak up the fantastic views across the Esk Valley.

There's also an Information Centre for inside info on the North York Moors National Park that sells parking permits and radar keys. Remember your visit to this special place with a gift from the shop or sit back and enjoy a taste of the Moors with a bite to eat from the Park Life café.

Daily 1 March – 2 November, 10am to 5pm

Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
