About Cropton Cabins - Forest Holidays
A Forest Holiday is a one-of-a-kind holiday in nature, with fresh air, freedom, and unmissable forest views. Unwind, reconnect and escape the everyday surrounded by the forest. Do as much or as little as you’d like to. Choose to completely unwind and relax in stunning natural surroundings in your very own hot tub. Or find adventure on the trails as you walk or cycle through idyllic woodland and sunlit glades. The choice is yours.
Deep in the heart of Cropton Forest, cabins with floor-to-ceiling views bring you closer to wildlife within a woodland meadow, ideal for exploring or simply relaxing. With cabin doors that open right out into the forest, you’re in the best spot possible to catch a glimpse of Tawny owls and Roe deer.
Choose from a range of cabins sleeping from 2-6 people. Find a base for adventures in a Silver Birch. Throw open the bi-fold doors of a White Willow Premium and let nature in. Enjoy a couples’ retreat in a Golden Oak Hideaway with forest views from your double sunken bath. Or gather together for a group getaway in the Golden Oak Treehouse – with an en-suite bedroom reached by a rope bridge. The Forest Retreat lies at the heart of the forest with a cafe, bar and a shop selling all the essentials for your stay. It’s the perfect spot to have a coffee, glass of wine or a bite to eat, with sweeping views across the forest from the extended outdoor decking area.
With experiences that will bring you closer to nature, activities at Cropton include bicycle hire, archery and one-of-a-kind experiences with Forest Rangers. There’s adventure further afield too, at the nearby Go Ape Tree Top Adventure at Dalby Forest. With so many nearby attractions, you really are spoilt for choice – from the lovely market town of Pickering to travelling to the seaside town of Whitby by steam train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Or why not visit the city of York for a day that’s just under an hour away? It’s not just the fresh, forest air or one-of-a-kind experiences that make Forest Holidays so unique. As a Certified B Corp, they’re recognised as being good for people and the planet. Their holidays help to support the management of the forest and ensure it’s preserved for future generations. So you can breathe easy in more ways than one, knowing you’ve made a sustainable choice that’s good for you, and nature too.
