Cober Hill
A beautiful Victorian mansion set in 11 acres of stunning grounds, nestled in the North York Moors National Park and adjacent to the Heritage Coast.
About Cober Hill
Cober Hill was bought in 1920 by Arnold Rowntree, MP for York, and nephew of Joseph Rowntree, of chocolate and philanthropic fame.
In May 1920, Arnold wrote his letter of wishes setting out his vision for the future of Cober Hill. We remain true to that vision today:
I want it to be a place of joy and beauty…..a centre for refreshment and inspiration.
