Bebra Gardens, Knaresborough
About Bebra Gardens, Knaresborough
This small, colourful, public park is a hidden gem in the town of Knaresborough. The park is reached by crossing the dry moat from Knaresborough Castle and features winding paths, evergreen foliage and steep descents.
The flowerbeds and rockery of Bebra Gardens are as packed with interest as the surrounding trees and bushes are with birds and wildlife.
Take a picnic, sit on the grass or one of the benches, and listen to the birdsong or the sound of the River Nidd below.
The park features a paddling pool that is filled from the Bank Holiday at the end of May until the first week in September each year. The gardens can also be accessed from steps that lead up from Knaresborough’s Waterside.
The Gardens are named after the town of Bebra in Germany, with which Knaresborough is twinned.
